Job Description

Manage and maintain the accuracy and consistency of master data related to business partners, such as customers, suppliers, and employees. This role involves working with business stakeholders to ensure that MDM processes align with business needs and that the data is used effectively across the organization

Identify master data and its relationship to internal business processes.

Interact regularly with all departments to help facilitate quick and accurate data entry into SAP.

Assist with coordinating communication between stakeholders from various departments to improve the process and communication flow of master data requirements.

Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and provide solutions.

Ensure data quality and governance standards are maintained.

Participate in testing and validation of SAP MDG solutions.

Document technical specifications and processes.

Assist in the development and implementation of SAP MDG projects.

Take ownership and accountability for end-to-end master data in adherence to defined SLA’s.

Domain Expertise

Subject matter expert for metadata data management, overseeing configuration, data modeling

Technical / Functional Skills

Subject matter expert for SAP data management, overseeing configuration, data modeling, and integration with other SAP modules

Familiar with data access and usage policies

Ensuring accuracy and quality in integration processes and documentation

Knowledge on Data security and Privacy

Experience with metadata management (preferably using Atlan)

Exposure to data governance solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity and IT operations

Exhibits Data Stewardship and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Project Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in SAP master data management.

Exposure to data governance and access policies

Experience with architecting MDM end to end implementation covering data extraction, profiling, cleansing, initial data load, centralized creation, and integration with consuming system

Experience in design and development of hierarchies, third party integration, match and merge strategies

Diverse experience in application tools, languages, and frameworks (SQL, Snowflake, Python, Java etc.)

Ability to communicate with international stakeholders up to management level.

Strong understanding of data governance policies and procedures.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently but also collaboratively with various stakeholders.
