Role Summary

We are looking for a Marketplace Growth Manager who will own demand and supply growth across the marketplace. This role is for someone who has helped scale a marketplace from early traction to meaningful volume—not just theorised growth.

You will work at the intersection of pricing, supply acquisition, demand generation, funnel optimisation, and ops execution. Your job is simple on paper and hard in reality: drive GMV, liquidity, and retention in a sustainable way.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Growth Ownership

Own end-to-end marketplace growth metrics: GMV, conversion, liquidity, repeat rate, and cohort retention

Identify and solve demand–supply mismatches across regions/categories

Design and run growth experiments (pricing, incentives, nudges, onboarding flows)

2. Supply-Side Growth

Scale seller/supplier acquisition, activation, and quality

Improve supply availability, coverage, and utilisation

Work closely with ops to reduce cancellations, drop-offs, and latency

3. Demand-Side Growth

Drive buyer acquisition and engagement using performance marketing, partnerships, CRM, and organic levers

Optimise buyer funnel—acquisition activation repeat

Improve trust, pricing transparency, and experience levers

4. Pricing & Incentives Strategy

Collaborate with pricing/finance teams to design dynamic pricing, commissions, and incentives

Analyse elasticity and cohort behaviour to decide where to subsidise and where not to

Ensure growth is unit-economics aligned, not vanity-driven

5. Data & Experimentation

Build dashboards and track weekly/monthly growth metrics

Run A/B experiments and post-mortems with clear learnings

Convert data insights into fast execution plans

6. Cross-Functional Execution

Work closely with Product, Tech, Ops, Sales, Customer Experience, and Finance

Act as the single-threaded owner for growth initiatives

Push execution rigor—timelines, owners, and measurable outcomes

Ideal Candidate Profile

Must-Have

4–8 years of experience in marketplace, consumer internet, or platform businesses

Hands-on experience scaling 0 1 or 1 10 growth

Strong analytical ability (Excel/Sheets, SQL, dashboards)

Has run experiments, not just discussed strategy

Comfortable working with ambiguity and imperfect data

Good to Have

Experience in marketplaces like e-commerce, mobility, classifieds, fintech, logistics, or auto-tech

Exposure to pricing, incentives, or revenue growth roles

Startup or high-growth environment experience
