Job Description

Role & responsibilities- • Support daily product category operations including data upkeep, stock and pricing analysis, and product data management. Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure smooth execution of category plans Analyze product performance metrics, pricing trends, sales patterns, and channel insights Track and report KPIs to support decision-making for Product Categories Identify growth opportunities through data and customer behavior analysis Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and SWOT analysis Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and new product launches Prepare actionable reports to support category strategy Assist in managing product or marketing projects from initiation to delivery Coordinate with internal teams to align on timelines and deliverables Drive and support product lifecycle processes: o PSPP (Product Strategy & Planning Process) o PLS (Product Lifecycle Strategy) o Product Discontinuation/Transition planning Ensure all internal systems and documentation are updated in alignment with lifecycle changes • Execute milestones and deliverables for each stage of the new product development process. Help to define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research and competitive positioning. Participate in successful product launches by collaborating with marketing and merchandising teams to create compelling product storytelling and go-to-market strategy. Monitor and analyze product sales, profit performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product category improvement including cost savings and quality improvement. Track and analyze competitors' product launches, positioning, pricing, and business strategies to benchmark against own category to identify risks and opportunities and build intelligence reports for internal stakeholders to support decision-making Develop and manage a competitive intelligence framework to track key competitor activities product launches, pricing, positioning, innovations, and market strategies while delivering actionable insights through reports, battle cards, and SWOT analyses. Collaborate with global teams to maintain an up-to-date intelligence repository and use findings to shape category strategy, product roadmap, and pricing decisions. Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization. Preferred candidate profile • 4-7 years of experience in product marketing or category management; mandatory work experience in Product marketing or Product management. Strong analytical and Excel/BI tools proficiency Good understanding of product lifecycle processes and market research methods Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks Exposure to product lifecycle tools and PSPP/PLS processes Experience with competitive intelligence tools and marketing analytics platforms Competencies • Ability to effectively apply verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to writing reports, facilitating/participating in professional meetings, and ability to engage in the exchange of information required. • Ability to identify problems and apply appropriate resolution skills by being resourceful and actionable. Knows when to solicit feedback and guidance preferred. • Working knowledge of general business functions and understanding of integrated and/or interlocking business functions preferred. • Ability to effectively work in a team environment and develop internal network required. • Understands the organizations mission and acts accordingly.
