Simulation Engineer- Deputy Manager

Role & responsibilities

A Simulation engineer, with experience in static, Dynamic(Impact) and Durability simulations, capable of executing simulations independently. Hands on experience in mold flow simulation will be an added advantage. Closely collaborates with Design team for Tooling and Part design validation.

- Coach, mentor and juniors to drive validation (Static Structural and durability) process for a project.

- Independently handles workflow for either of the below capabilities:

• Impact Simulation.
• Mold Flow Simulation

- Suggest and drive design improvements through simulations.

- Interpret and Document simulation results.

- Perform correlation studies with Test data.

- Responsible for making comprehensive technical reports and presenting your findings to the project team.

- Document simulation setups and assumptions; assist in training materials and participate in simulation audits.

Competencies:

Experience correlating simulation data with physical durability and fatigue test results.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proven experience (6+ years) performing FEA focused on structural durability and fatigue in the furniture or consumer product industries.

Strong proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran, FEMFAT, ncode , Hypermesh or equivalent solvers and modelling softwares.

Deep understanding of load cases typical to furniture use (e.g., static loads, cyclic loading, impact).

Knowledge of material properties commonly used in furniture manufacturing (wood, metal, plastics, composites).

Familiarity with furniture safety and durability standards (e.g., BIFMA, ANSI).

Work Experience and Skills

7-9 year of experience in FEA Simulations
