Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Marine Electrical Engineer to join our shipyard team at Kattupalli. The role involves handling installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems onboard vessels and within shipyard facilities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and shipyard practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems in ships and shipyard equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in motors, generators, switchboards, control panels, and cabling systems.
• Assist in electrical system design and modification for shipbuilding and repair projects.
• Ensure compliance with marine classification societies and international regulations.
• Work with mechanical, hull, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, inspections, and modifications.
• Support in testing, commissioning, and sea trials of electrical systems.

Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Marine
• 2 – 3 years of experience in a shipyard or marine industry.
• Knowledge of marine power systems, automation, navigation, and communication equipment.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of marine electrical systems.
• Familiarity with marine safety standards (IMO, IEC, IS, class regulations).
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in ship retrofitting, dry-dock projects, or new ship construction.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Ability to work in challenging environments with strict deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
