Job Description

As a Crew Sourcing Specialist at our maritime recruitment team, your role involves maintaining and expanding a comprehensive database of seafarers and maritime crew for various vessel types. You will be responsible for sourcing qualified crew for urgent and planned vessel deployments using diverse methods such as industry networks, social media, and recruitment platforms. Your tasks will include screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates" qualifications, certifications, and compliance with international maritime standards (MLC, STCW). Collaborating closely with vessel management and HR to ensure timely and cost-effective crew placement is also a key part of your responsibilities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates and maritime industry contacts will be essential to continuously grow the talent pool. Additionally, monitoring industry trends to anticipate hiring needs and adjusting sourcing strategies accordingly will be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and expand a comprehensive database of seafarers and maritime crew for various vessel types (tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, offshore, passenger vessels, etc.). - Source qualified crew for urgent and planned vessel deployments using diverse sourcing methods including industry networks, social media, and recruitment platforms. - Screen, interview, and assess candidates qualifications, certifications, and compliance with international maritime standards (MLC, STCW). - Collaborate closely with vessel management and HR to ensure timely and cost-effective crew placement. - Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and maritime industry contacts to continuously grow the talent pool. - Monitor industry trends to anticipate hiring needs and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. Qualifications and Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience in maritime crew sourcing or recruitment, with a strong network/database of seafarers. - In-depth knowledge of maritime certification, employment law, and compliance requirements. - Proficiency with applicant tracking. - Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a global maritime workforce. - Proficient Email communication - Vision for an aggressive & exponential career growth. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience sourcing for a wide variety of vessel types. - Familiarity with crewing logistics and international recruitment challenges. - Relevant certifications in recruitment or maritime crewing are an advantage.
