Manger - Estimation and Proposal

Job Purpose

timely preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Technical & Budgetary Proposal Preparation

• Review customer specifications and requirements.
• Coordinate with the Design department to collect Technical Design Criteria (TDC).
• Prepare and submit detailed technical proposals.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers.
• Draft budgetary offers considering all cost elements: materials, labor, logistics, machines, etc.
• Ensure timely submission of proposals without requiring extensions.
• Coordinate with customers for updates, clarifications, and final commercial submissions.

2. Cost Estimation & Commercial Offer Preparation

• Accurately estimate project costs, avoiding errors or omissions.
• Maintain competitive pricing while meeting company margin policies.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams for strategic proposal positioning.
• Optimize raw material usage and design for cost efficiency.
• Engage with customers to clarify and resolve technical and commercial queries.

3. Vendor Development & Cost Monitoring

• Identify, evaluate, and develop a strong vendor base.
• Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Ensure vendor compliance with technical requirements and customer specifications.
• Track market trends, supplier prices, and import duties to update costing sheets.

4. Internal Coordination & CRM Execution

• Present project details, budgets, and supplier information to internal stakeholders.
• Support procurement in vendor negotiation and order finalization upon project award.

Key Skills Required

• Strong understanding of

  Process Equipment

  (e.g., heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, reactors, pumps).
• Proficiency in

  cost estimation and technical proposal preparation

  .
• Knowledge of

  international codes and standards

  : ASME, TEMA, ISO.
• Familiarity with design and costing tools:

  PV Elite, AutoCAD, HTRI, MS Excel
