Job Description

Job Purpose: -

Responsible for overall business development, expansion, and profitability within assigned international territories. Key responsibilities include understanding customer needs, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations, providing technical and logistical support, managing distributors, and ensuring prompt product delivery.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Strategic Planning

    Analyze market conditions, competitor strategies, product performance, and customer feedback to prepare annual and rolling operational plans. Communicate plans and forecasts to internal teams and distributors, and manage sales agreements and follow-ups.
  • Business Expansion

    Identify and recommend potential distributors. Introduce new and existing products to expand the business. Coordinate with registration teams for product approvals and registration processes etc.
  • Coordination & Support

    Support monthly financial analysis, MIS preparation, sales forecasting, and production alignment. Collaborate across departments to develop product strategies and ensure readiness of logistics, registration, and development functions.
  • Payment Collection

    Follow up on payments, reduce outstanding receivables, and secure advance payments from key distributors.

Key Interactions: -

  • Internal: Logistics, Packaging, Finance, Regulatory, R&D, and Business Head.
  • External: Distributors, Marketing Consultants, Commission Agents, Industry Colleagues.

Educational Qualifications: -

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture
  • Master's in Business Administration (Sales/Marketing/IB)

Experience: -

  • 5-15 years in Agrochemicals or Crop Protection Chemicals Exports

Knowledge Required: -

  • International markets and geographies
  • Competitor and overseas product information
  • Crop cycles, diseases, and seasons
  • Product pricing and registration processes
  • Export documentation and international business laws
  • Foreign trade policy and regulations
  • Proficiency in foreign languages is advantageous
