As a Manager Branch Operations, your role involves overseeing the timely and profitable delivery of shipments to customers through effective management of service center operations & PUD/DC operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support the Branch Head in developing the annual branch budget. - Adhere to budgeted capital and operational costs for the branch; track Operating Costs per Movement (OCPM) and Operating Cost per Kilogram (OCPK) regularly and take corrective actions when necessary. - Ensure timely, accurate, and profitable delivery of shipments to customers as per contractual terms through effective management of branch operations. - Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Execution Excellence in the branch, such as on-time delivery performance, transit times, RTO reduction, timely connectivity onto the network, and reduction in errors. - Optimize productivity and utilization of the fleet (including network, feeder, and milk runs) in the branch. - Evaluate existing infrastructure for operations in the branch concerning growth targets and prepare capital expenditure or capacity expansion proposals for service centers/PUD centers; seek necessary approvals. **People:** - Provide direction, guidance, and support to function employees in the branch to help them discharge their duties effectively. - Monitor the team's performance continuously to identify key performers. - Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline. **Additional Details:** - Key Result Areas and Key Performance Indicators: - Optimize costs in the branch (% reduction in overall Operating Costs). - Drive Reach Enhancement by supporting the expansion into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. - Ensure service quality and excellence in the branch by maintaining overall service quality, delivery performance, timely connectivity, adherence to SOPs, and achievement of target NPS Scores. - Ensure security of shipments and regulatory compliance. - Support the execution of corporate initiatives and drive operations of channel partners attached to the branch. - Improve operations process efficiency and capability. - Support employee capability building and drive employee morale and engagement.
