Job Description

The Manager Global Partner Network & Business Development will be responsible for building,

strengthening, and managing a global network of overseas freight forwarding partners. This role

focuses on driving nominations, developing trade lanes, ensuring service excellence, and expanding

international business opportunities through collaboration and strategic partnerships. The position

carries direct P&L accountability for agent-led businesses and aims to enhance the company’s footprint

across key global markets.

. Key Responsibilities

(a) Overseas Agent Network Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas agents (mainly across global networks

like WCA, JC Trans etc.), Freight Forwarders and customs brokers.

  • Identify new overseas agents in strategic locations across focus key trade lanes (USA, South

America, Europe, Middle East, Far East, Inter Asia etc.) and ensure a comprehensive global

network.

  • Develop and execute strategies to strengthen relationships with existing agents, ensuring

mutual business growth.

  • Monitor agent performance, analyze business volume, and reciprocate engagements to foster

loyalty.

(b) Revenue growth and Trade Lane Expansion

  • Identify and develop high-potential trade lanes and generate inbound/outbound business

through collaboration with overseas partners.

  • Act as a single point of contact for agents on pricing, queries and coordination, also advise

pricing/operations teams on agent-specific strategies for key countries.

  • Contribute to gross profit budget by increasing revenue from the agent network through

nominated businesses .

  • Provide monthly agent wise sales performance reports to the CEO / Regional GM’s ,

highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

(c) Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with sales , CS/operations to ensure smooth execution of agent business.
  • Resolve operational bottlenecks affecting agent-related shipments.

  • Conduct regular communication and meetings with agents to ensure smooth operations.
  • Serve as lead, representing the company in handling any claims and disputes with networking

agencies.

  • In liaison with Finance Track overseas payments (both receivable and payable) and monitor

SOA with overseas partners.

(d) Compliance and Financial oversight

  • Monitor agent performance, resolve issues, and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Oversee Agents contracts signings , mutual service level agreements (SLAs) and drive process

improvements.

  • Conduct regular network audits to assess agent performance, revenue / profit contribution

and identify areas for improvements.

  • Manage agent registration formalities, KYC checks, compliance documentation and contracts

signing.

  • Follow up on agent payments and escalate delays to agency networks (WCA, JC Trans etc ).

(e) KPIs measured

  • Percentage of growth in nomination business (export / import) across all product lines
  • Number of new active agent partnerships onboarded.
  • Contributions made to trade lane volume development.
  • Satisfactory level of responsiveness and service delivery to & from agents
