Job Description

Role & responsibilities To design and improve methoding of new products through simulation software To standardize methoding and processes and prepare method cards for Ferrous and Non-Ferrous MoCs To achieve rejection and rework as per business targets To optimize cost of manufacturing through improvement in gross yield To plan daily visits to machine shop to understand and improve casting rework and rejection To plan and present Quality Improvements on Rejection, Rework and Yield Improvement To review, optimize and standardize process parameters and generate method cards To review and revise process parameters and method cards To review and design methoding of new products To co-ordinate and support to pattern shop in new pattern designing and manufacturing To review and suggest product design changes suitable to improve casting quality To able to make 3D methoding to incorporate the same in tooling manufacturing or 3D printing Preferred candidate profile Knowledge of casting methoding in CIF, SGI and Steel castings Knowledge of casting processes 2 part No Bake and Lost Foam or Replicast and hands on experience of applicable methoding Knowledge of 3D printing would be preferred Knowledge and hands on working experience in CAD ProE or Catia Hands on work experience of simulation software, preferably Magma soft Ability to interpret the software results and co-relate with shop floor results Ability to improve casting yield and optimize process parameters Proficiency in the process of driving Root Cause Analysis and taking CAPA Knowledge of basic metallurgy of CI, steel and stainless steel Knowledge of sand property requirements for casting production Knowledge of heat treatment & upgradation processes Knowledge of product and systems Perks and benefits As per company standard
