We are seeking a skilled and experienced Methoding Engineer.who can independently handle casting development from concept to production. The candidate must have a deep understanding of pattern design, moulding processes, and methoding. Key Responsibilities & Roles: Methoding & Design: • Develop and design complete casting methoding for iron and steel castings. • Optimize methods to minimize & eliminate all defects like shrinkage, porosity, and misruns. • Perform accurate casting weight calculations for cost estimation and pattern development. Pattern Development: • Coordinate with pattern makers to develop or modify patterns as per methoding. • Inspect patterns and core boxes for dimensional accuracy and compatibility with moulding line. • Guide pattern storage, identification, and standardization processes. Moulding & Production Support: • Work closely with the moulding department to ensure method implementation on the shop floor. • Select suitable moulding processes based on casting requirements. • Provide on-site support during pouring and resolve process-related issues. Quality & Process Improvement: • Investigate casting defects and work on corrective actions. • Conduct root cause analysis of non-conformities and implement process improvements. • Maintain method cards, documentation, and casting quality records. CAD: • Prepare and analyze 2D/3D models using AutoCAD, CREO, and SolidWorks. • Generate accurate layout drawings for pattern and core box manufacturing. Simulation (Plus Point): • Work with casting simulation software (e.g., MAGMA, ProCAST) to validate methoding and optimize yield. Cross-functional Coordination: • Collaborate with quality, design, and production teams for smooth execution of casting projects. • Attend customer technical discussions for development projects and provide methoding insights. • Maintain up-to-date documentation for patterns, methods, and simulations.
