Key Responsibilities:

• Litigation Management:

  Oversee all aspects of direct tax litigation, including assessments, appeals, and representation before tax authorities.

• Advisory Role:

  Provide expert advice on direct tax issues, including tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution.

• Research and Analysis:

  Conduct detailed research on tax laws, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategies and advise clients.

• Client Interaction:

  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

• Team Leadership:

  Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Documentation:

  Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, replies, and submissions to tax authorities.

• Case Strategy:

  Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

• Stay Updated:

  Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and case law to provide timely updates to clients and the team.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (LLB or equivalent preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in direct tax litigation or tax advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of direct tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
