Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop woven fabrics for the

  export market

  in line with brand and business requirements.
• Research and analyze

  trend forecasts

  for colours, fabrics, prints, and concepts to identify relevant directions.
• Translate trends into

  innovative concepts and collections

  across product categories.
• Collaborate with the design team in

  brainstorming and conceptualizing

  collections for upcoming seasons.
• Create

  designs and colourways on Penelope

  for yarn-dyed fabrics.
• Prepare

  digital seasonal presentations

  and innovation decks in the form of interactive PDFs for customer showcases.
• Curate and deliver

  design concepts, mood boards, fabric qualities, and seasonal collections

  to leading global brands.
• Represent the studio by

  travelling to European and South Asian regions

  for presentations and brand interactions.

• Mentor and guide junior designers

  in daily tasks, creative development, and professional grooming.
• Manage

  customer-specific product and design requirements

  in line with briefs and directives received.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in

  Textile Design

  from

  NIFT, Pearl Academy, or equivalent institute

  .
• Strong sense of

  design aesthetics, colours, and fabric development

  .
• Excellent

  communication and presentation skills

  to interact with international buyers and brands.
• Proficiency in

  design software and tools

  (Penelope, Photoshop/Illustrator, MS Office, etc.).
• Ability to

  lead a design team

  , drive innovation, and deliver projects under deadlines.
• Open to

  international travel

  for client interactions and presentations.
