Manager - Costing - Steel Plant

Job Responsibilities :-

• Responsible for Plant Accounting, Budgetary Control, MIS, Employees related Accounts, Cost Records, Statutory Compliance, Insurance, Sales Accounting, Commercial Function,

• Preparing Estimated cost sheet for Marketing Dept.

• Preparing actual cost statement for WIP and Finished goods.

• Stock valuation of WIP and Finished goods.

• Preparing Monthly MIS.

• Monthly closing activity on SAP:-

• WIP Calculation

• Running Variance calculation

• Settlement of production order

• Settlement of maintenance order

• Entering SKF for powers

• Running Assessment cycle

• Preparing annexure for cost audit report

• Calculation of Activity rate and uploading in SAP

• Maintaining Material Master on SAP

• Preparation of product wise, customer wise &segment wise contribution statement

• Variance analysis of Budgeted EBIDTA and Actual EBIDTA.

• Analysis of Input-out ratio & monitoring material movement from production to sale

• Preparing material reconciliation

• Physical verification of stock.

• Preparation of Annual Budget and Outlook Financials.

Product Costing :-

• Product Costing & finalization of Bill of Material on month wise.

• Preparation and analysis of cost of products for all SKUs.

• Updating and change of Standard Cost of Material through adopted process.

• Consumption Reconciliation of raw material.

• Monthly analysis of Actual Material Cost Vs Standard Material Cost & Yield Analysis

Inventory Management :-

• ABC analysis of Inventory

• Calculating & Analysing Non/Slow moving Inventory, Excess & Obsolete Inventory

• Coordination & Compilation of Physical Stock Take 1st of every month.

• Monthly Inventory valuation of FG/SFG including WIP for Balance Sheet.

• Calculation of Inventory Obsolescence Report as per Policy.

• Analysis of days of stock vs. Consumption.

• Determination Working Capital Requirement & Presentation.

• Valuation of Inventory to be audited by Statutory Auditor.

• Controlling inventory and maintaining re-order level, identification of surplus, obsolete &

  scrap materials.

• Managing the inventory levels thereby ensuring optimum use of inventory.

• Reducing inventory cost through alternate resources of consumables & raw materials.

MIS on Monthly :-

• Monthly Financial & Operational Review meeting for Senior Management.

• Preparation of monthly financial MIS and gap analysis.

• Variance analysis with respect to original budget & last projection.

• Preparation of under absorption or over absorption of conversion cost.

• Preparation of Monthly Cost report.

• Bill of Material and COGM Tally with Standard Vs Actual.

• Maintaining documents & generating MIS in a fully computerized SAP environment.

Strategic Planning/Budgeting :-

• Material Forecast & Total Inventory Forecast

• Preparation of annual budget for different heads and sub heads.

• Budgeting and Annual Business Plan Submission of plant on monthly.

• Formulating budgets, conducting variance analysis on key performance indicators with focus on variances.

• Budget Vs Actual report on Conversion Cost including variable cost.

Audit Exposures :-

• Cost Audit

• Tax Audit

• Internal Audit

• IGAAP Audit

Accounting Exposures :-

• Preparation of Reconciliation & Ageing of Stock, Debtors & Creditors

• Maintaining Fixed Asset Register & calculation of Depreciation

• Preparation of MIS of various Parties, Bank, Fund Position

• Dealing with Excise matter

• Dealing TDS matter

• Consolidation of Final Accounts

Computer Skills:-

• Working knowledge of SAP HANA ./FICO

• Key Skills comprise of Financial Management, SAP R/3, MIS Reporting, Accounting & Auditing, both under USGAAP & Indian GAAP, SOX Implementation, Oracle and Costing.

• Well conversant with FICO module SAP environment for normal working and troubleshooting.

• Have conceptual knowledge of costing and MM module in SAP HANA. FICO
