Job Description

Primary Purpose of Role

Lead Corporate Affairs initiatives for community outreach agenda and maintain harmonious relationship with all government/community stakeholders to ensure undisrupted brewery operations and U.P business. Plan and execute in alignment with different department for building positive image of organization in and around the vicinity of brewery. Also acts as a strategic administration partner with the plant leadership team. Work with external stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of all permits/permissions to ensure smooth business operations in U.P.


Roles & responsibilities

Government Affairs BU India


  1. Securing all operational Licenses/Permits to operate smoothly in U.P
  2. Build & manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  3. Track and monitor market/industry intelligence
  4. Work on initiatives on Fiscal policies and share feedbacks with State governments to implement Ease of Doing business policies
  5. In collaboration with internal teams on the design and implement the community engagement/CSR in calendarized manner
  6. To have a proactive engagement calendar & visits with all relevant govt/community stakeholders on periodic frequencies.
  7. Responsible to draft applications, letters, and official correspondence with various departments of U.P State Government
  8. End to end ownership to ascertain all statutory compliance approvals from different departments of Government in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
  9. To acquire the operational, know how on securing all brewery excise related Licenses/permits to operate smoothly and should be able to execute action at time of need.
  10. Good analytical skills to visualize what needs to be done to avoid any last-minute issues
  11. Confident to work with Bureaucrats and senior government officials and capability to convince officials with subject knowledge and logical reasoning
  12. Acts as a single point of contact for ABI to any external (govt/community etc.)
  13. Works cohesively with plant head to implement the strategic interface in plant administration to make ABI plant as a model place to work in community.

Education level and/ or experience

· Graduate/Postgraduate in any stream

· Preference Law Graduate

· 8+ years of work experience

· Experience of working with Central/State Govt. Authorities/Panchayats etc.

· Alcobev/FMCG industry exposure

· High energy, Solution-oriented and positive attitude

· Exceptional customer orientation

· Fast-mover, quick to adapt

· Well verse with State Excise Rules & Policies

· Flexibility and resilience in a fast-moving environment

· Integrity and professionalism

· Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively
