The Manager position for Bank Debt Servicing is responsible for timely and accurate processing of all post-settlement bank debt activity and ensuring all loan attributes are accurately reflected in Oaktree systems. This includes working with Agent Banks, Custodians, and Third-Party Administrators to resolve any cash or position differences.
Scope And Responsibilities
- Monitor bank loan events and ensure activity is processed accurately and timely across multiple accounts, funds, and special purpose vehicles
- Monitor data feeds and resolve exceptions to ensure activity is reflected accurately by end of day.
- Process drawdown requests, including validating amounts across lenders, obtaining approvals, and coordinating payment.
- Work with the Bank Debt settlement team to ensure events taking place between trade and settlement are accounted for and properly attributed to the settlement of trades.
- Work with the Corporate Actions team to ensure events are captured and processed timely and accurately.
- Work with Agents, Custodians, and other parties to effectively research and resolve reported cash, position, and loan attribute differences.
Experience Required
- 8+ years relevant operations experience; specific expertise and knowledge of syndicated and private loans.
- Interacting with front office personnel, accounting teams, agents, and custodian banks.
- Using industry utilities and software platforms such as Wall Street Office, ClearPar, and SS&C Loans
- Comprehensive knowledge of agent notices including activity types and formats.
- Knowledge and understanding of Advent’s Geneva Accounting system
