Role Summary

Manager or Assistant Manager – Data Analytics

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Insights

• Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  

• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, etc.) to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  

• Build predictive and prescriptive models to support strategic decisions.
  

Project Management

• Manage and prioritize multiple analytics projects with tight deadlines.
  

• Translate business problems into structured analytical use cases.
  

• Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and system integration.
  

People & Stakeholder Management

• Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings.
  

• Mentor junior analysts or interns (for Manager-level role).
  

• Help foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
  

Tools & Technologies

• Work with SQL, Python/R, Excel, and BI tools.
  

• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and computation (preferred).
  

• Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards.
  

Education

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience in leading analytics initiatives and delivering measurable impact.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, R, etc.).
  

• Expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  

• Hands-on experience with statistical modeling and machine learning (preferred).
  

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in specific domains like BFSI, Retail, E-commerce, or Telecom is a plus.
  

• Certifications in Data Analytics / BI tools are advantageous.
