Job Description

Heres How You Will Contribute to BMCs and Your Own Success:

  • This position manages the daily activities of the India Entities, including the General Ledger:
  • You will have complete ownership of accounting responsibilities, including preparation and posting of JEs in Oracle. Preparing and reviewing reports as needed
  • You will be managing month-end account reconciliations review and approval, complete ownership of accounts reconciliations, from preparation to open item resolution. Approving of the account balances along with certification of the same.
  • You will be involved in payables management, including the Accruals, PO approvals, review of spend and PL activities.
  • You will be managing direct and indirect Activities for GST-related filings, Income Tax returns and forms, calculations of Income tax provision as per IGAAP and ISGAAP, Return to accrual workings as per USGAAP Fin 48, handling of tax assessments etc.
  • You will be involved in coordination with other verticals/departments like AP, AR and other finance/non-finance functions.
  • You will be allocating responsibilities within the team in different areas, reviewing and assigning day-to-day work and projects, along with coaching and developing the accounting team.
  • Preparing and reviewing lease accounting as per Ind AS 116 and ASC 842.
  • Interfacing with internal and external auditors. Provide the requisite data to the auditors and handle the audit and the closure of the same. Hands-on experience in making the Financials and Ind AS Standards.
  • Assessing risk and developing procedures to mitigate those risks.
  • Serving as the liaison with domestic and international locations.
  • Building relationships and interfacing with all levels of the organisation, including staff accountants, through upper management.
  • Leading special projects.
  • Evaluating processes for continuous improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.

To Ensure Youre Set Up for Success, You will bring the following skillset:

  • Required minimum experience of 810 years, Industry experience with 4-6 years with responsibility for the India region / India Books.
  • Previous experience managing staff functionally.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to deal with short deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and interface with other non-accounting departments.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles and accounting practice.
  • Strong Excel and Access database skills.
  • Experience with Oracle.
  • Experience in Open-Air Environments will be preferred, or Oracle Project experience.
  • CA / CPA equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with the Big 4 accounting firms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Regular Shift: 10 am to 7 pm.
