Carry out installation of GPS and fuel sensor devices on heavy mining equipment (dumpers, tippers, loaders, dozers, excavators, etc.).
Ensure proper routing of wiring harnesses concealed and secured away from heat, sharp edges, and moving parts.
Apply industrial-grade insulation tape, conduits, and sleeves to wires for maximum protection.
Use locking clips, seals, and tamper-proof casings at sensor and connector joints to prevent unauthorized interference.
Conduct final system testing after installation to verify signal strength, fuel calibration accuracy, and connectivity with NIGRAANI/control room.
Perform scheduled maintenance of GPS and fuel sensor devices to detect loose connections, damaged insulation, or tampering attempts.
Re-seal and re-lock wiring/connector points after every service to maintain tamper-proof status.
Replace worn-out insulation, clips, or damaged wiring proactively.
Maintain checklist-based inspection records for each machine to ensure accountability.
Monitor and report any unauthorized handling or damage to devices/wiring.
Implement best practices in cable routing, fixing, and insulation so that drivers/operators cannot bypass or disable sensors.
Ensure all sensor caps, fuel lines, and connectors are sealed with approved company tags or locks for traceability.
Educate site staff and operators about strict no-interference policy with installed devices.
Diagnose hardware faults such as signal drop, inaccurate fuel readings, or device offline issues.
Repair/replace faulty sensors, SIM cards, wiring, or connectors with approved spare parts.
Perform recalibration of sensors post-repair to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with IT/control room team to validate data post-fix.
Maintain service logs, tamper-check reports, and installation records for each equipment.
Provide weekly status reports on installations, preventive checks, and breakdown cases.
Report repeated tampering attempts or unusual device failures to management for corrective action.
25 years of field experience in vehicle telematics, GPS installations, or fuel sensor systems.
Prior work in mining, construction, or fleet management industry is a strong plus.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of vehicle wiring, fuel line integration, and sensor calibration.
Proficiency in locking/sealing practices, insulation methods, and routing standards for heavy vehicles.
Ability to identify and secure vulnerable points of tampering.
Familiarity with monitoring software (e.g., NIGRAANI, AVL, fleet management dashboards).
Soft Skills & Other Requirements
Attention to detail and discipline in following SOPs for tamper-proof installation.
Problem-solving skills in field conditions with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work in remote mine sites under dust, vibration, and heavy-equipment conditions.
Basic computer knowledge for data entry, calibration, and reporting.
Key Aspects to Focus On (to be stressed in training & SOPs):
1. Wiring Discipline – neat routing, secure clipping, no loose wires.
2. Tamper-Proofing – locking, sealing, company tag seals at joints.
3. Insulation Quality – industrial sleeves/tape, heat-resistant protection.
4. Connector Security – avoid open joints, use waterproof connectors.
5. Documentation – log every installation with photographs &
