Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview: You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of CNG and Diesel buses, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and operational readiness for daily deployment at the Bus Depot or Workshop. Your role will involve supervising a team of mechanics and electricians to carry out repair, preventive maintenance, and breakdown tasks efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise day-to-day maintenance tasks of mechanics and electricians, assigning repair, preventive maintenance, and breakdown jobs as per schedule. - Monitor the turnaround time of vehicles under maintenance to ensure timely availability and review job cards for correct fault identification and repair. - Ensure strict adherence to preventive maintenance schedules, supervise major and minor repair activities, and attend breakdown calls for quick response and resolution. - Verify repairs post-maintenance for quality and safety standards, assist technicians in diagnosing complex issues, and ensure proper usage of tools and safety gear. - Manage daily attendance and deployment of mechanics and electricians, conduct on-the-job training, and report performance issues. - Maintain and update maintenance records, report parts requirements, and submit daily reports on fleet availability and maintenance progress. - Ensure all maintenance work is done as per safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to manufacturer guidelines and internal SOPs. Qualification Required: - Diploma/ITI in Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent education. - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in maintenance of commercial vehicles, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role. - Experience with Ashok Leyland or JBM buses (CNG/Diesel) is preferred.
