Maintenance & Repairs Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Logistics & Supply Chain Leadership

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory planning, cargo movement, and warehouse stuffing.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize container load planning (CLP), reduce delays, and maximize utilization.

• Oversee transportation planning and container transfers from CY to CFS, ensuring efficiency and cost control.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in yard operations, stuffing, and material handling.

2. Documentation & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in export/import documentation (shipping bills, invoices, customs forms).

• Establish robust systems for documentation control, shipment tracking, and ERP/logistics software updates.

• Monitor reefer container operations (temperature, status) and ensure compliance with international standards.

• Resolve escalated discrepancies in cargo movement by driving accountability across stakeholders.

3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, CHAs, port authorities, and vendors.

• Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements to optimize costs and service quality.

• Act as the senior liaison for customs agents, port authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.

• Represent the MnR function in leadership meetings and cross-functional forums.

4. Reporting, Analysis & Decision Support

• Oversee preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports on inventory, material consumption, and shipment performance.

• Analyze logistics KPIs, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely shipments.

• Provide insights to leadership on cost optimization, vendor performance, and operational efficiency.

• Drive digital transformation initiatives in logistics reporting and analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in logistics operations, container handling, and warehouse management.

• In-depth knowledge of export/import documentation, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in logistics/ERP systems and advanced MS Excel for reporting and analysis.

• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage complex operations in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• 8-12 years of progressive experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse operations.

• Proven track record in leading MnR functions, CLP management, CHA coordination, and port operations.

• Experience in vendor management, cost optimization, and large-scale container operations.

• Exposure to digital transformation initiatives in logistics and supply chain.
