Maintenance Manager – Biscuits Production

Location- Jammu

Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager – Biscuits is responsible for leading a team of technicians and engineers to maintain and improve the plant’s biscuit production equipment and utilities. This role involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing spare parts inventory, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards.________________________________________Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust preventive maintenance program for all biscuit production and packaging machinery
• Lead, coach, and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians and contractors
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other relevant food safety and quality standards
• Manage the department budget, spare parts inventory, and maintenance-related capital projects
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and safety teams to improve equipment performance and process reliability
• Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., TPM, 5S, OEE optimization)
• Maintain accurate records of equipment history, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical certification
• 10+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• In-depth knowledge of biscuit manufacturing processes and packaging systems is a strong advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
