About the Role:
The Maintenance Head is the person everyone relies on,often quietly working in the background but playing one of the most important roles in the hotel.You ensure that lights switch on, water flows right, air conditioners cool perfectly, and every corner of the property remains safe and in great condition.This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems with steady hands and a calm mind, someone who leads by example and finds satisfaction in knowing that their work directly improves the comfort of every guest and staff member.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Daily Maintenance

Oversee all critical areas—electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, generators, and general property upkeep.

Take timely action on repair needs and ensure everything works smoothly without disrupting guest comfort.

Conduct regular inspections to spot problems before they become bigger issues.

2. Preventive Maintenance

Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns.

Keep detailed records of equipment health and maintenance history.

Ensure long-term protection and durability of hotel assets.

3. Team Leadership
Lead and motivate the maintenance staff with patience, respect, and practical guidance.Assign tasks fairly and support the team during emergencies or technical challenges.Create a work culture where everyone feels valued and responsible.

4. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all safety, fire, and statutory norms are followed without compromise.Conduct regular safety checks, drills, and audits to keep the property risk-free.Work closely with other departments to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees.

5. Energy & Cost Efficiency
Monitor and manage utility usage, focusing on smart energy-saving practices.
Control repair and maintenance budgets responsibly.
Ensure materials and spare parts are purchased with both quality and cost in mind.

6. Coordination & Reporting
Collaborate with Operations, Housekeeping, Front Office, and other teams for smooth functioning of the hotel.
Provide clear and timely updates on maintenance issues, ongoing projects, and budget consumption.
Participate in planning renovations, upgrades, and technical improvements.

Experience Required:
At least 5–10 years in hotel or facility maintenance.

Skills & Competencies:
·Strong technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
· Excellent problem-solving skills with a steady, logical approach
· Good leadership and the ability to handle a diverse maintenance team
· Strong planning, time-management, and organizational abilities
·Ability to stay calm during emergencies or sudden breakdowns
· Awareness of safety standards and compliance rules

Education:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field
Additional certifications in safety, fire systems, or technical training are a plus
