Maintenance Engineer

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:

• Mechanical Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Industrial Maintenance or related fields

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in maintenance of rubber processing machinery

• Preferably within a rubber product manufacturing or engineering facility

Core Responsibilities:

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Develop and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual PM schedules

• Cover equipment such as:

o Hydraulic presses (compression/injection)

o Internal mixers (kneaders), two-roll mills, intermixers

o Multi-axis testing machines

o Shot and sand blasting units

o Vulcanizers and curing ovens

• Conduct predictive checks (vibration, noise, oil condition, temperatures) to detect early failures

Equipment Health & Troubleshooting

• Maintain operational integrity of:

o Hydraulic systems (valves, pumps, cylinders)

o Heating and cooling systems (RTDs, heaters, thermocouples, chillers)

o Electrical systems, control panels, and PLC/HMI units

• Perform basic automation troubleshooting and support calibration activities

Spares & Vendor Coordination

• Maintain inventory of critical spares (seals, heaters, sensors, oils)

• Coordinate with vendors for AMC contracts and long-lead components

• Ensure zero downtime through proactive resource planning

Utility Management

• Oversee functioning of plant utilities supporting rubber machinery:

• Compressors, chillers, forklifts

• Stabilizers, power panels, manual tackers

Records & Compliance

• Log breakdowns, update machine history, and track maintenance KPIs

• Ensure documentation aligns with ISO/IRIS standards and internal audits

• Interpret machine manuals, schematics, and hydraulic circuits accurately
