Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Solar Power Plant (Solar Maintenance Background Only)
Location: Sasaram, Bihar

Reporting To: O&M Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in solar plant maintenance to support the operations and upkeep of our utility-scale solar power plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance of plant assets and ensuring maximum uptime, optimal performance, and safety compliance. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical knowledge in solar PV systems and real-world field experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Should have worked on the maintenance of the following machines:

Framing Machines, Sun Simulator, Laminator, Cell cutting machine, Post EL machine, Visual inspection machine, Lay-up machine, Jigu Machine, Pre EL machine.

• Maintain detailed reports for daily maintenance activities, breakdown analysis, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the plant’s compliance with all electrical safety standards, OEM recommendations, and regulatory norms.
• Maintain and manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement requests.
• Support audits (internal/external) and provide relevant maintenance documentation.
• Supervise on-site teams, contractors, and field technicians during scheduled maintenance and shutdowns.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive actions to reduce the recurrence of faults.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy or related fields.

Experience:

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience specifically in solar power plant maintenance
• Prior experience in managing solar independently or in a team setting.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of PV systems, inverter configurations, string-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems, data logging, and real-time monitoring.
• Familiarity with test equipment like thermal cameras, IV curve tracers, multimeters, etc.

Other Requirements:

• Electrical license or supervisory license (as per local norms) preferred.
• Good understanding of HSE practices and safety protocols.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and in outdoor field conditions.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Working Conditions:

• Based at the solar plant site – field role with outdoor responsibilities.
• Must be available for emergency maintenance and on-call support.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
