Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer in the automotive industry, your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of production equipment across various key areas such as body shop, paint shop, and assembly lines. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a variety of automotive equipment including production machinery, robotic systems, stamping presses, and welding cells. - Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize production downtime. - Analyzing equipment performance data to implement improvements for reducing breakdowns and enhancing machine uptime. - Maintaining and updating equipment maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). - Collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams to facilitate new product introductions and line changes. - Ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 in all maintenance activities. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, along with 5-6 years of experience in maintenance engineering within an automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier environment. Additionally, you should possess strong knowledge of robotic systems, PLCs, industrial automation, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, welding equipment, and conveyor systems. Furthermore, familiarity with TPM, OEE, and CMMS tools, as well as the ability to read technical drawings and schematics, are essential for this position. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills will be valuable assets in fulfilling your responsibilities effectively. Preferred skills that would enhance your profile include certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM, as well as experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and working in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced production environment. Your commitment to working in shifts, responding to emergency breakdowns, and ensuring all maintenance work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations will be key to your success in this permanent role.,
