Job Description – Robotic Maintenance Engineer Position: Robotic Maintenance Engineer Department: Maintenance / Automation Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Engineering Lead Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment. Ensure optimal performance and extend the life of equipment by addressing potential issues proactively. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and repair faults in robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Troubleshoot PLC-related issues and resolve communication failures between different PLC systems to minimize downtime. 3. Vision System Maintenance Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot vision systems integrated into the assembly line. Ensure consistent and accurate performance of vision-based quality control systems. 4. Drive Systems Maintenance Maintain and troubleshoot Siemens Drives and SEW Drives, ensuring smooth operation and quick resolution of drive-related faults. Monitor drive performance and replace faulty components when necessary. 5. Sensing Devices Maintenance Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various sensing devices used in the assembly line (e.g., proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, load cells). Ensure proper functioning for accurate process control and equipment safety. 6. Electrical Hoists Maintenance Perform regular maintenance and repairs on electrical hoists. Ensure safe, reliable operation in compliance with safety standards. Required Qualifications and Skills: Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. Experience: 3–8 years in automation, robotic systems maintenance, or industrial equipment maintenance. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or equivalent). Experience with Siemens and SEW drives. Working knowledge of vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Omron). Installation and troubleshooting of industrial sensors. Electrical troubleshooting, including hoist systems. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to handle pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Additional Requirements: Willingness to work in shifts or flexible hours based on production needs. Adherence to safety protocols and proactive hazard identification. Ability to document maintenance activities accurately.
