About The Opportunity

• Operate and maintain IBM z/OS production systems, ensuring stable 24x7 availability and timely incident resolution.
• Implement and manage system maintenance using SMP/E: apply PTFs, APAR fixes, and coordinate system IPLs and migrations.
• Troubleshoot JCL jobs, monitor batch scheduling, and work with schedulers (CA7/Control-M) to resolve backlogs and failures.
• Manage security and access controls using RACF: provision accounts, review profiles, and support audits and compliance tasks.
• Monitor capacity and performance; perform tuning and resource optimization for CPU, DASD, and storage to meet SLAs.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and participate in DR tests and on-call rotation for incidents.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience managing IBM z/OS production environments.
• Strong knowledge of JCL and TSO/ISPF for job control and interactive troubleshooting.
• Experience with SMP/E for patching, APAR management, and system maintenance.
• Practical experience administering RACF and implementing security policies on z/OS.
• Operational experience with CICS and/or DB2 in a production mainframe environment.
• Experience in performance monitoring, capacity planning, and storage (DASD) management for mainframes.
  

Preferred

• Experience with job schedulers such as CA7 or Control-M and automation tooling.
• Familiarity with IMS, z/OSMF, or IBM z Systems hardware (z14/z15 or newer).
• Certifications such as IBM Certified System Administrator for z/OS or equivalent operational certifications.
  

• Exposure to enterprise banking and government mainframe environments with opportunities for technical growth and certifications.
