Experience- 6+

Role-- Mainframe Support Engineer

Primary Skill:- Mainframe batch support

6-9 years of Mainframe batch support experience and strong analytical skills

Should be able to coordinate with different stake holders for managing the mainframe non Production Test Environments.

Should be able to manage Initial Program Loads (IPL) and DASD storage systems.

Oversee IMS region bounce procedures to ensure system resilience.

Develop and maintain programs in COBOL and manage job flows using JCL.

Schedule jobs efficiently with OPC and have a strong grasp of DB2 system-level operations.

Perform storage backups and manage OMCS and Control-M systems.

Handle storage volumes and LPAR configurations with expertise.

Utilize JCL error resolving techniques and Endevor for source code management.

Apply JCL sort utilities and other optimization methods
