About the Role

Software Development Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation decisions for complex system enhancements.
• Develop and maintain applications using

  Mainframe technologies

  (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2).
• Work on modernization projects using

  Java

  ,

  Spring Boot

  ,

  REST APIs

  , and

  Microservices

  .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, tech leads, and quality engineers.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Drive cloud adoption strategies and containerization using

  Kubernetes

  .
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years

  of experience in software development.

• 6+ years

  of hands-on Mainframe development experience.

• 2-3+ years

  of experience with

  Java

  and related technologies.
• Expert-level knowledge in

  Mainframe technologies

  : COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2.
• Knowledge of IMS / IDMS.
• Ability and passion to learn modern platforms such as

  EJB, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kubernetes

  .
• Experience with relational databases (DB2) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar).
• Experience implementing

  Microservice Architecture patterns

  .
• Working knowledge of

  MuleSoft

  ,

  Azure Cloud

  , and

  Kubernetes

  .
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
