About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Magento Backend Developer to join our eCommerce development team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Magento/Adobe Commerce development, with any experience in Hyvä being a distinct advantage. If you're passionate about creating seamless, visually engaging user experiences and are ready to tackle hands-on challenges, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Magento eCommerce backend systems and functionalities.
• Build and customize modules, extensions, and integrations with third-party services.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance backend architecture.
• Work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues to maintain site stability and performance.
• Implement and maintain APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) for integrations and headless commerce needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in backend development workflows, coding standards, and best practices.

Qualifications (Backend Development):

• 4 - 5 years of experience in Magento backend development
• Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL with solid OOP concepts
• Experience with Magento 2 backend architecture, custom module development, and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, GraphQL, and headless commerce implementations
• Knowledge of performance optimization, caching mechanisms, and scalability best practices
• Understanding of deployment workflows (Git, CI/CD, Composer)
• Familiarity with Hyvä Checkout and backend compatibility is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills with attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with frontend teams and cross-functional stakeholders
