Job Description

Shall be responsible for Preparing & verifying the process cards/Route cards for different jobs and stages of machining. Should have in depth knowledge of machining processes, planning, methods, scheduling & machining of heavy forging components. Should have in depth knowledge of design & drawings to understand & study engineering drawings with GD &T. Should have worked in Shop & planning functions of heavy machine shop (CNC VTL, CNC Horizontal Boring machine, CNC Horizontal lathe, DHD etc..). Should have thorough knowledge of cutting tools like carbide Inserts, Cutters, Tool holders, Boring tools, special tools, drills, taps and spares etc.. Shall be responsible for Effective utilization & upgradation of machine shop resources. Should have good knowledge and hands on experience in CNC Programming to prepare the CNC programs for complex profiles. Also, should have knowledge of NX CAD-CAM/Matercam CNC Software programming on turning & Milling. Should have in depth knowledge of Critical dimension measurement using Vernier, Depth gauge, Templates, Inside & Outside micrometers, On machine GD&T, FARO laser techniques. Should have good working knowledge of software skills like AutoCad, 3D drawing software, CNC Programming softwares like Master CAM/NX CAD-CAM etc. Should have knowledge of WMS, DPP, TPM, CFT, Productivity & quality improvement concepts. Should have knowledge of ISO Audit document preparation, compliance and facing. Shall be responsible for training of Planning engineers, Supervisors & Operators. Shall be responsible for development of new tooling’s for new products and for improving productivity and reducing costs. Should have good knowledge on machine shop fixture design & development. Should have good knowledge on machining estimation, budget preparation, monitoring and controlling costs related to machine shop function. Should have knowledge of machine selection, Erection & Commissioning. Should have good managerial & leadership skills for handling 80-100 Contract manpower, 8-10 Contract management and 7-10 Employees management. Show more Show less
