Apple Ads Team is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who will help build numerous features to advertisers and consumers while simultaneously supporting scalable modelling and continuous experimentation.
Description
Apple Ads Engineering team is a diverse, global, agile engineering team that moves smart and fast by consuming and optimizing readily available technology. In this role, you will drive the development, fine-tuning and productionization of large-scale ML models through continuous experimentation. You will design and implement automated ML pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, prompt engineering model training, hyper-parameter tuning, and model evaluation, enabling rapid experimentation and iteration. You will have the opportunity to define and refine architectures to meet the unique ad network challenges we must solve, thus delivering on Apple's privacy commitments and changing the way advertising works with data. Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in building machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in data processing technologies (e.g Kafka, Spark, Flink)
  • Experience building and fine-tuning machine learning models
  • Prior experience with Python & Java/Scala/C++ or equivalent.
  • Experience with the model development lifecycle
  • Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks
  • Experience writing machine learning applications and mission-critical code for production machine learning systems
  • Experience building and scaling cloud-based architectures
  • Experience building AI/ML tooling and/or infrastructure
  • Experience working on distributed systems where scalability and performance are critical
  • Pride in building tools to automate routine tasks, organised & detailed
  • Familiarity with cloud paradigms (e.g AWS or GCP)
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in building large scale distributed systems.
  • Results oriented with a desire to work in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment
  • Prior experience in the advertising industry is a plus
  • BS, MS or PhD, or equivalent experience, in Machine Learning, Statistics, Control Theory, Forecasting, Optimisation, Reinforcement Learning or related field with experience building large-scale production systems
