I. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
M365 L3 Support Engineer
to provide advanced administration, troubleshooting, and automation for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online. This role involves managing escalations, driving root cause analysis, implementing governance controls, and supporting migrations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, proficiency in PowerShell scripting, and the ability to mentor junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
II. Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online and SharePoint Online at an advanced/L3 support level.
- Build, maintain, and optimize PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and remediation tasks.
- Lead incident response efforts and perform root-cause analysis for complex M365 platform issues.
- Implement and enforce governance, security, and compliance controls across M365 workloads.
- Support migration activities, including tenant-to-tenant migrations and integration projects.
- Produce and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and detailed technical documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing escalation support as required.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and identity teams to ensure seamless operations and issue resolution.
III. Years Of Experience
5–8 years of IT experience with at least 3–4 years in M365 administration and L3 support roles.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Microsoft certifications (MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator, MS-203: Messaging Administrator, MS-700: Teams Administrator) are a plus.
Must Have
V. Skill Set Required:
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 apps, particularly Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in handling L3-level incidents, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of M365 governance, security, and compliance features.
- Experience supporting migration projects and tenant-to-tenant activities.
Nice To Have
- Exposure to Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Azure AD administration.
- Familiarity with hybrid Exchange environments and identity management.
- Experience with automation/orchestration tools or CI/CD pipelines for M365.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
