Must-Have Skills (Core Combination)

Looker
: Experience working on the Looker BI tool.
Looker ML (LookML)
: Knowledge of Looker's proprietary modeling language for building data models and dashboards.
Data Modeling
: Understanding how to structure data effectively for reporting/analytics.
SQL
: Strong hands-on SQL skills for querying and managing data.

Other Important Requirements

Communication Skills
: Should be able to explain data insights, logic, and issues clearly to both tech and non-tech teams.
Basic SQL Knowledge
: Reinforces that SQL is required – at least to a level where the candidate can write, debug, and optimize queries.
Looker Concepts
: Understanding of both fundamental and advanced features of Looker (such as explores, views, dashboards, LookML projects, permissions, etc.).
Version Control
: Should know how to manage LookML code through Git or similar version control tools.
Looker’s SQL Runner
: Able to test and validate data using Looker's built-in SQL Runner tool.
