Logistics Data & Billing Analyst

Handle daily data dumps from transporters and your custom logistics software, cleaning, structuring, and uploading them into Excel for accurate operational MIS reporting. This backend role supports PAN-India cargo movements (surface, air, rail) by ensuring data reliability for TAT tracking, shipment analysis, and decision-making in your Chennai-based aggregator

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, clean, structure, and upload daily data dumps from transporters and our logistics software into Excel templates for operational MIS and TAT tracking.
• Conduct month-end billing analysis: reconcile shipments, verify rates/PODs, identify discrepancies, and prepare accurate billing sheets to prevent revenue leakage.
• Create Excel dashboards, pivot tables, and reports on KPIs like shipment volumes, utilization rates, billing trends, and financial accuracy.
• Support routine accounting functions including invoice matching, GST validation, cost verification, and ad-hoc finance queries.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and service provider teams to resolve data discrepancies within tight deadlines.
• Structure cleaned data into Excel templates for MIS dashboards, including pivot tables for KPIs like shipment volumes and delays.
• Upload and validate structured files for ops teams, ensuring 100% accuracy and daily turnaround.
• Flag data anomalies to supervisors and assist in ad-hoc Excel-based queries for leadership reports.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounts, IT, or related field.
• 2-4 years experience in data processing, MIS reporting, or logistics accounting.
• Chennai location preferred; PAN-India travel if required.

Essential Skills

• Expert-level Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros, Data Validation, Power Query).
• Strong analytical skills for data cleaning, accuracy checks, and revenue protection.
• Familiarity with logistics operations (freight rates, POD reconciliation, TAT metrics).
• Knowledge of Tally/ERP systems and GST compliance is advantageous.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to handle high-volume data under daily/monthly deadlines.
• Excellent communication for cross-team collaboration.
