Loan Processor (Mortgage BPO – U.S. Broker Support)

Position Title: Loan Processor – Mortgage Back-Office BPO

Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Time: 9am EST to 5pm EST

Reports To: Team Lead / Processing Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our back-office BPO team supporting U.S.-based mortgage brokers. The Loan Processor will be responsible for reviewing borrower documentation, preparing loan files, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring files are complete and compliant before submission to underwriting.

This role requires strong knowledge of U.S. mortgage processes, broker workflows, and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collect, review, and verify borrower documents including income, assets, credit, and employment.

2. Ensure all required disclosures and documents are obtained in compliance with TRID, RESPA, and CFPB guidelines.

3. Enter, update, and maintain loan data in Loan Origination Systems (LOS) (Encompass, Calyx Point, LendingPad, or equivalent).

4. Run automated underwriting systems (DU/LP) and review findings.

5. Coordinate with third-party vendors for appraisals, title, and insurance.

6. Prepare complete loan files for submission to underwriters.

7. Identify and resolve missing or incorrect documentation.

8. Work with the lender to get the loan file cleared for closing.

9. Track and manage loan pipeline, ensuring deadlines and SLAs are met.

10. Collaborate with team members and Quality Control staff to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. 2–5 years of experience in U.S. mortgage processing (broker or lender side).

2. Hands-on experience with Loan Origination Systems (Encompass, Calyx Point, LendingPad, or similar).

3. Strong understanding of borrower documentation: W-2s, 1099s, pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns.

4. Working knowledge of credit reports, VOE/VOA, DU/LP findings.

5. Familiarity with U.S. mortgage compliance regulations (TRID, RESPA, HMDA, etc.).

6. Excellent analytical skills for income calculation and DTI analysis.

7. Good communication skills (written and verbal English).

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior experience in a Mortgage BPO/KPO environment.

2. Exposure to closing or post-closing functions.

3. Experience handling broker-specific workflows.
