Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

Perform detailed
4C analysis
Underwrite Conventional/FHA/VA loans per FNMA/FHLMC and investor rules.
Review AUS findings (DU/LPA) and complete manual underwriting when required.
Identify red flags, inconsistencies, and potential fraud indicators.
Communicate conditions clearly to processors and ensure file completeness.
Maintain TAT, quality metrics, and compliance with TRID/RESPA/TILA
Conduct thorough credit analysis and appraisal of loan applications to determine creditworthiness.
Review financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents to assess borrower's credit risk.

Collaborate with sales team to identify potential clients and develop strategies for acquiring new business opportunities.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to maintain expertise in mortgage underwriting.

Job Requirements :

4-12 years of experience in Residential mortgage underwriting or related field (credit underwriting).
Strong understanding of live underwriting processes and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data using various software tools such as Excel or specialized underwriting platforms.
