Linux Cloud Engineer

Role Overview: As a Unix/Linux Cloud Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI). Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and operations. You should be passionate about new technologies and stay updated with the latest enhancements and releases. Key Responsibilities: - Build, deploy, and support infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI) ExaCC and VMware, Linux/Unix, storage, and networking. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform. - Configure and manage cloud resources for scalability, performance, and high availability. - Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - Collaborate with DBAs, Developers, and Operations teams. - Document technical processes and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 3+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix, OCI (ExaCC) technologies. - Provide expert-level support for OEL, Red Hat, and Unix-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement timely resolutions. - Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, IP Tables, Firewalls, routing), debugging network routing and network security group issues within OCI, and Compute service components. - Familiarity with distributed systems, networking, and storage technologies in a cloud environment. - Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools. - Experience with Oracle Technology project implementation. - Cloud Infrastructure implementation, preferably OCI, demonstrating experience in migrations to OCI. - OCI architect certified with knowledge in all OCI resource provisioning (network, VM, Storage, SaaS, PaaS services, etc.). - Knowledgeable in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Network and Compute service components. - Hands-on experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Ansible, and automation pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.). - Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make decisions. - Perform hands-on configuration and optimization of networking components within OCI, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient data transfer between on-premises and cloud environments. - Provide expertise in different cross-cloud platforms to support data integration while ensuring data integrity and security. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to cloud implementation, networking, database, and cloud-native services. Additional Details: - The role may require working any of the three shifts during 24*7 (Including Night Shift) to meet business needs and support production systems.,
