Job Title: Lighting Designer Location: JP Nagar, Bangalore Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Lighting Designer to develop and implement lighting plans for a wide range of environments, including architectural spaces, events, theatrical productions, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, excellent technical knowledge of lighting systems, and the ability to translate concepts into captivating visual experiences. Key Responsibilities: Design lighting concepts that enhance the visual impact of architectural spaces, events, or stage productions. Create lighting plots, fixture layouts, and system specifications using CAD software and other design tools. Collaborate with architects, set designers, event producers, or directors to understand and achieve project vision. Program lighting consoles and coordinate equipment setup and operation during rehearsals, installations, or live events. Conduct site visits, mockups, and lighting tests to ensure design feasibility and performance. Manage technical requirements, budgets, and schedules for lighting installations. Specify appropriate lighting equipment, control systems, and rigging solutions. Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and sustainability practices. Supervise or coordinate with lighting technicians and installation teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Theatre, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in lighting design for [theatre/architecture/live events/film—customize as needed]. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, WYSIWYG, DIALux, or similar. Experience with lighting control systems (e.g., ETC, GrandMA, DMX, DALI). Strong understanding of color theory, light behavior, and photometrics. Excellent communication, time management, and project coordination skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
