Lift Service Engineer

Job Description

Installation of Lifting Equipment: Set up new vehicle lifts in workshops, garages, and manufacturing units. Ensure correct positioning, anchoring, and electrical/hydraulic connections. Calibrate equipment for safety and efficiency. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections to ensure lifts function smoothly and safely. Lubricate moving parts, check hydraulic fluid levels, and inspect cables, pulleys, and safety locks. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose faults in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems. Replace damaged or worn-out components (e.g., pumps, hoses, sensors). Test the system post-repair to ensure it meets safety standards. Safety Compliance: Ensure all lifting equipment complies with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, CE). Conduct load testing and issue safety certificates as required. Technical Documentation: Maintain records of service, inspections, and repairs. Generate reports for warranty claims or compliance audits. Customer Support & Training: Educate users (technicians, workshop staff) on proper operation and safety practices. Provide technical support to clients during installation or after service. Upgrades and Retrofitting: Suggest and implement improvements for outdated or inefficient lift systems. Install newer components or software updates if applicable. Skills Required:Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and mechanical hand tools. Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
