Job Description

POSITION: Liaison Officer

Location: Head Office at Howrah, West Bengal

Reporting: ADMINISTRATOR and Competent Authority

Assignment: Full-time

HSP has been working for more than four decades for underprivileged and disabled people, irrespective of class, caste, creed, and ethnicity, taking care and empowering them through 3 different fields: Rehabilitation Homes, Education, and Healthcare. With approximately over 200 staff, this NGO serves more than 47,000 beneficiaries spread over four districts of West Bengal: Howrah, Asansol, Jalpaiguri and South 24 Parganas.

The person will responsible to overseeing the multiple legal issues and compliance issues of the organisation. He/She must have the tenacity to get work done from the Government departments through continuous follow-up and rapport building and ensure that the issues has been resolved promptly and the objectives or information should be circulated on time. This role reports directly to the Administrator and competent authority.

Key Responsibilities Area:

· Communication and Relationship Building with different government organization. Establish and maintain connections with media outlets, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

· Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating legal /government documents, agreements, and other documents related to property or organizational compliances.

· Ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to property ownership, and management.

· Identifying and assessing potential legal risks related to property ownership, management, and Home compliances, and developing mitigation strategies.

· Managing legal proceedings, including representing the organization in court or other legal forums

· Providing legal advice to management on various legal issues related to property and NGO operations.

· Maintaining accurate records of legal documents of all homes compliances and other programmes, property records, and other relevant information. Maintaining accurate records of legal documents, property records, and other relevant information.

· Working closely with Technical team on Big Projects.

· Any other responsibility given by the competent authority.

Functional Skills:

· Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders including government officials, civil society organizations, research institutions, representatives from private sector organization.

· Excellent written, verbal communications, and interpersonal skills

· Drive, Commitment and Ownership for the delegated responsibilities

· Ability and willingness to travel.

IT Skills:

§ High level of proficiency in MS Office

§ Proficient in Internet and mailing

Qualification:

· Masters degree or equivalent.

Experience:

· experience of at least 10-12 years as PRO or Liaison Officer.

Pay: From ₹13,200.00 per month
