Leveraged Finance Underwriter - Senior Vice President

As a Portfolio Manager/Team lead at Citi's Global Leveraged Finance Underwriting Team (LFU) within Institutional Credit Management (ICM), your role is to lead and coordinate a team of Analysts and Associates. You will provide quality assurance, timely delivery, and analytical rigor while being the primary contact for coaching and supervising the junior team. Your responsibilities include: - Overseeing the credit monitoring support for Citis Leveraged Finance Portfolio - Supporting LFUs underwriters in Citis credit approval and origination process for leveraged finance transactions - Assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets - Leading and driving a best-in-class Leveraged Lending Underwriting organization with the goal of enhancing Citis end-to-end Leveraged Lending credit management process - Ensuring best in class credit risk analysis of the Leveraged Finance Portfolio - Writing Annual and Quarterly reviews, portfolio management, and early problem recognition - Coaching and training analysts and associates to develop their credit underwriting skills - Supervising analysts and associates to perform periodic written reviews of clients" financial and operating performance - Reviewing and analyzing models used for valuation and forecasting - Providing ongoing feedback and coaching to sustain a strong credit culture - Evaluating clients" business, financial performances, and key credit drivers - Remaining current on all relevant Leveraged Lending market trends and issues Qualifications required for this role include: - Team player with strong work ethic - Strong writing, analytical, communication, and presentation skills - Experience in leading a team and coaching junior bankers - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Ability to break down large amounts of data into concise credit recommendations - Thorough understanding of the credit and/or portfolio management process - Strong awareness and adherence to the control environment - 13+ years of credit or related leveraged finance experience - Education: MBA or CA or CFA This job description provides a high-level overview of the role.
