Job Description

As a State Head Collections, your primary role will involve overseeing and directing field collection operations within a large geographic region. You will be responsible for managing multiple Team Leaders and Field Agents, with a focus on implementing state strategies to optimize debt recovery, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with legal and company policies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Implementing strategic plans for the region to meet collection goals and optimize performance, collaborating with senior management to align state operations with the company's overall business objectives. - Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of Area Managers responsible for overseeing their respective teams of Team Leaders and Field Agents, setting clear goals and performance expectations. - Overseeing and tracking the performance of all teams within the region to ensure collection targets are met, addressing underperforming areas and implementing corrective measures. - Ensuring efficient and cost-effective field operations, monitoring operational budgets, and standardizing processes across the region to maintain consistency in field operations and collection methods. - Handling high-priority cases or issues escalated by Area Managers, resolving disputes or negotiations involving large debts, sensitive clients, or legal concerns. - Analyzing data from across the region to identify key performance indicators, trends, and opportunities for improvement, providing detailed reports to senior management. - Ensuring that all collection activities in the region comply with company policies, local regulations, and legal standards, conducting regular audits of field operations. - Working with HR and training departments to develop and deliver training programs for staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the region, acting as the senior point of contact for clients with issues related to collections. - Identifying new opportunities to expand field operations or improve collection rates within the region, developing plans for expanding into new markets or regions. Skills Required: - Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a large team. - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with an analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making skills. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels. - Proficiency in data analytics, financial reporting tools, and CRM/collections software. - Strong understanding of debt collection laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards.
