Job Title: Legal & Strategy Head

Location: Tower A, Naman Midtown, 304, SB Marg, Elphinstone W, Dadar West, Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400013

Experience: Minimum 10 Years (Court & High Court Practice)

Department: Legal & Corporate Strategy

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Legal & Strategy Head with a strong background in real estate litigation and advisory, including appearances in civil courts and high courts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance, handling litigation, and contributing to the company’s long-term business strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Responsibilities:

  • Handle and supervise all litigation matters related to real estate — including property disputes, redevelopment issues, RERA cases, and contractual disagreements.
  • Represent the company in Civil and High Court proceedings, directly or through appointed advocates.
  • Draft, vet, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, contracts, MOUs, JVAs, sale deeds, and redevelopment agreements.
  • Provide legal opinions and advice to management on title due diligence, regulatory compliance, land acquisition, and redevelopment projects.
  • Liaise with external counsels, law firms, and government authorities as needed.
  • Ensure the company’s compliance with RERA, MRTP, IBC, Companies Act, and other applicable real estate laws.
  • Maintain and update the company’s legal documentation, case records, and compliance tracker.

Strategic & Business Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to shape business strategy and decision-making through legal insights.
  • Identify potential risks, opportunities, and partnerships aligned with the company’s growth plans.
  • Lead due diligence for land acquisition, mergers, and redevelopment projects.
  • Advise the Board on policy formulation, dispute resolution strategies, and legal risk management.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline legal and strategic operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
  • 10 years of experience in real estate legal practice (corporate and litigation), including appearances in Civil & High Courts.
  • In-depth knowledge of RERA, property laws, redevelopment regulations, and corporate governance.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.

  • Experience working with builders, developers, or real estate consulting firms.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple complex projects.
  • Strong ethical standards and confidentiality in all dealings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 per month
