KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Handling the broad spectrum of day-to-day legal affairs of the business. - Advising the CFO and management team on a wide variety of legal issues, including legal metrology litigation, contracts, marketing and food law, franchising, labour, as well as regulatory compliance in multiple areas, such as competition and trade regulation, duct liability, consumer privacy, intellectual perty, anti-corruption (FCPA). - viding advisory and legal services to the Manufacturing and Supply Chain group specifically infrastructure, leasing, compliance with labour and workplace legislation, contracts, IP issues, and STPI rules. - Participate in discussions with other departmental heads and arrive at a decision on the continued maintenance / new registration of Trademarks both in India and abroad in order to create, tect and develop the intellectual perty of BIL. - Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including manufacturing, marketing, supply and distribution agreements. - Developing and coordinating litigation strategies and coordinating centrally all litigation across the country. - Coordinating regulatory compliance, including monitoring legislation and implications of new business initiatives that group may pursue in India and Middle East. - Training current businesses on compliance initiatives and legal developments. - As the opportunities are developed, training and managing other lawyers hired to do legal work within these groups. DESIRED COMPETENCIES: - Generalist lawyer, with a flexible apach to work and a strong sense of personal responsibility and bias for action. - Excellent legal skills with an ability to business solutions to legal blems. - Excellent grounding in contract and commercial matters. - Prior knowledge of food law, Food Safety Act Factories and Labour Act, Agri Commodity Act Essential Commodities/ Mandi Samitis. - Intellectual perty law and labour law are preferred, although not essential. - In all cases must be willing to learn. - Creativity and willingness to embrace change and work in multi-functional teams, and build trusting relationships at all levels of local management and corporate and legal groups. - Well organized and able to manage and prioritize changing workload and meet deadlines. - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with a demonstrated ability to communicate to a wide variety of business personnel, including external lawyers. Good exposure on the following agreements: - Joint Ventures / Merger /Acquisitions, Lease. - Buy sale of perty ESOP share purchase schemes. - cess contracts.

Role & Responsibilities: Must have experience in scrutiny and approval for title search reports, revenue records and online verification of records of land owing agencies. Providing advice to business on an acceptance of title search report/ property for creation of mortgage/ security. Advising team regarding of stamp duty requirements on each of the documents as per legal policy/ circular. Ensuring quality of report/ valuations by doing random check monthly as a part of legal review. Approval of legal deviations by analysing the risk involved vis a vis business requirement. Drafting and vetting of non-standard drafts including, declaration and undertakings, NOCs, Affidavits etc. relating to the mortgage for security creation etc. Customizing the requirements of all different states for legal documentation, institutionalization and make branches aware and follow the same. Giving feedback and raising risk alerts in Updating/ modification of legal policies/ Operating guidelines. Appraisal of Project Files, a comprehensive due diligence about the project i.e. appraisal of title along with licenses and litigation etc. Advising on Enforcement of Securities Interest and to help in the litigation matters by giving necessary instructions, documents, etc as may be required by external advocates/solicitors from time to time. Drafting and structuring of various lending arrangements with builders. Experience in drafting of replies of legal notices, criminal complaints & handling of service-related customer issues. Providing training to credit, OPS and sales team about nuances of mortgage legal.
