Legal Head

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013 and other automotive-related regulations.
• Monitor changes in laws

• Draft, review, and negotiate suppliers agreements, parts purchasing agreement, service contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and joint venture agreements.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management to mitigate legal risks.

• Manage litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes.
• Liaise with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings when required.

• Collaborate with the company secretary to file returns and statutory documents with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).

• Ensure compliance with

  Factories Act, 1948

  ,

  Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

  , and labor laws governing employee welfare.
• Handle employment disputes, labor contracts, and workplace policies.

- Develop strategy of Legal and Compliance in India.

- Align the strategy of Legal and Compliance in India with strategy of the country head.

- Align the strategy of Legal and Compliance in India with the strategy of Global and Asia Legal and Compliance.

- Make budget of Legal and Compliance, and manage spending with in the budget.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualifications:

• LLB/LLM from a reputed college/University. CS is an added advantage.
• Enrolled as an advocate under the Bar Council of India.

Experience:

• 5 years PQE (post-qualification experience) of legal experience, preferably in the motorcycle/automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge and practical experience in the following legal areas: contract, corporate law, labor law, general commercial law and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing external counsel and litigation is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Accountability and problem-solving attitude.
