Legal Associate - Team Lead

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Associate to lead our in-house legal team. This leadership role involves overseeing legal operations, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring robust legal compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Indian corporate law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks, along with proven leadership and strategic advisory capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the legal team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of legal services. Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and internal policies. Ensure company-wide compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Supervise legal due diligence, board meeting documentation, and corporate secretarial work in coordination with the Company Secretary team. Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on regulatory and legal developments. Maintain and oversee legal records, contracts database, and compliance tracker. Liaise with external counsels, consultants, and government/regulatory authorities. Manage legal notices, litigation tracking, and dispute resolution processes. Monitor and interpret changes in company law, labour laws, data protection, and other relevant regulations. Train and mentor junior legal associates and foster a culture of legal awareness across departments. Qualifications & Skills: LL.B. degree from a recognized university (LL.M. or CS qualification is a plus). 4–6 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate legal department or reputed law firm. In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act, Contract Act, labour laws, and corporate regulations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication abilities. Proficient in MS Office, legal databases, and document management systems. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.
