Legal Associate

I. Role & responsibilities:

1. Litigation & Court Work:

• Draft pleadings, written statements, legal notices, replies, and rejoinders.
• Draft petitions and applications under CPC, Arbitration Act, Evidence Act, CrPC, etc.
• Appear before Civil Courts, Consumer Forums, Arbitration Tribunals, MACTs, NCLT, and High Courts (especially Delhi & Haryana).
• Assist in trials, cross-examinations, arguments, and interim applications.

2. Legal Research & Drafting:

• Conduct in-depth legal research

3. Client Management:

• Attend client briefings and maintain clear communication with clients on case progress.
• Assist in preparing case summaries, legal opinions, and status reports for corporate clients.

4. Coordination & Case Management:

• Coordinate with court clerks, registry, and counsel.
• Maintain digital and physical case records, deadlines, and cause lists.

II. Key Areas of Practice:

• Civil and Property Law
• Arbitration (domestic) incl. S. 9, 11, 34 petitions
• Consumer Disputes
• Insurance Law MACT, health & general insurance matters
• Criminal Law Quashing, Bail, and Complaint matters
• Contractual Disputes & Vetting of Agreements

III. Preferred candidate profile:

• Residing in Gurugram, Haryana
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight timelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and online legal databases.
• Professionalism, punctuality, and integrity.
